CoolSculpting FAQ

In the final part of our complete guide to CoolSculpting, we’ll be answering some of the most common questions people have about the treatment. If you haven’t read through the previous parts to the guide then be sure to check them out as they cover CoolSculpting in great detail.

Does CoolSculpting Really Work?

Yes. CoolSculpting is a scientifically proven and effective treatment for reducing fat deposits in the body.

Why haven’t I heard of it before?

CoolSculpting was only approved by the FDA in 2010, which makes it a very new treatment compared to more traditional treatments, such as liposuction. It is gaining popularity all the time however.

How long does a treatment take?

1 treatment of CoolSculpting takes approximately 1 hour. A single treatment is considered to be one “area”. In CoolSculpting, an “area” is a part of the body that’s roughly the size of your hand. For example, if you want your love-handles to be treated then they’d be done as separate treatments.

How much does CoolSculpting cost in Sarasota?

Price varies depending on the areas being treated and the number of sessions required. Generally speaking CoolSculpting is a very affordable treatment.

Is it painful?

Most patients don’t find CoolSculpting to be painful. The treatment itself might feels a little strange because of the pressure and intense cold, but this soon dissipates.

Is there any downtime?

No. This is one of the biggest advantages of CoolSculpting. Because it’s a non-invasive treatment, there’s no downtime required and you’re able to get back to your everyday activities right away.

Am I a good candidate?

A good candidate for CoolSculpting is someone who’s over the age of 18, isn’t excessively overweight and has an active lifestyle and healthy diet. You should also not be suffering from any chronic pain and it’s best avoided if you’re pregnant or breastfeeding.

When will I see coolsculpting before and after results?

Because CoolSculpting kills fat cells in a very natural way, you do not see results immediately. Some patients start to see results after 3 weeks but noticeable results are experienced after 2 months.
