If you missed our Sarasota VI-TOX event, here’s some good news. We’re bringing the same lineup of specials to our Lakewood Ranch location this Friday, April 24th, from 1 to 5 PM. That’s four hours of event-only pricing on VI Peels and relaxers (Dysport, Daxxify, and Botox), and honestly, this is the kind of sale that doesn’t come around often.

Spots are filling fast. If you’ve been sitting on the idea of refreshing your skin before summer, this is probably the push you needed.

What Is the VI-TOX Event?

The VI-TOX Event is a one-day special at University Park Dermatology & Medical Spa where we pair two of the most popular treatments in our office at pricing you won’t see the rest of the year. Think VI Peels for skin resurfacing. Tox injections for those fine lines around the eyes and forehead. Both under one roof, one afternoon only.

Our Sarasota clients already showed up in full force last time. Some walked out with fresher skin. Some got their first Daxxify treatment. A few did both, which is kind of the sweet spot of this event. So if you’re in Lakewood Ranch, Bradenton, University Park, or anywhere nearby, Friday is your turn.

What’s a VI Peel, Really?

A VI Peel is a medical-grade chemical peel that works on a pretty wide range of skin concerns. We’re talking sun damage from all those Florida weekends, stubborn acne and acne scarring, uneven tone, and those first fine lines that show up and just refuse to leave. It’s gentle enough for most skin types, which is part of why we love recommending it.

Benefits of a VI Peel

In my experience, patients notice a smoother skin texture within the first week after peeling. Dark spots start to fade. Pores look tighter. Makeup goes on cleaner. The peel uses a blend of acids (TCA, salicylic, phenol, and vitamin C among them), and it works deeper than your typical spa facial without the aggressive downtime of a laser resurfacing.

Patients dealing with melasma or post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation often see the biggest shift. I’ve had people come in convinced nothing would help their sun spots, walk out skeptical, and then text us three weeks later asking to book another one.

What to Expect During and After

The treatment itself takes about 30 minutes. You’ll feel a warm tingling during application. Nothing dramatic. Peeling usually starts around day three and wraps up by day six or seven. Most people go back to work the next day with a little makeup. Just stay out of direct sun during peeling, and use the post-care kit we send you home with.

Dysport, Daxxify, Botox: What’s the Difference?

All three are neuromodulators, which is the clinical way of saying they soften the muscle contractions that create forehead lines, crow’s feet, and frown lines between the brows. But they’re not identical. Each one has its own personality, and part of what makes this event fun is that you can talk through the options with our team and pick what actually suits you.

Botox

The classic. Botox has been around the longest, which means most patients either know it or know someone who’s tried it. Results typically show up around day 5 to 7 and last about 3 to 4 months. It’s a safe bet if you’re new to tox and want something predictable.

Dysport

Dysport tends to kick in a little faster than Botox, sometimes within 2 to 3 days. A lot of patients who want that quick, natural softening choose Dysport. It spreads a bit more during injection, so it works nicely across broader areas like the forehead.

Daxxify

Daxxify is the newest on the scene, and the headline feature is how long it lasts. We’re seeing results hold for up to 6 months in many patients, which is nearly double the traditional tox timeline. If you hate coming in every few months for touch-ups, Daxxify might change your routine.

Why Book at the VI-TOX Event?

Two reasons, really. First, the pricing. Event-only specials apply to both VI Peels and all three relaxers, and we don’t run these discounts outside of these promotional windows. Second, combining treatments. Getting a VI Peel and tox in the same visit is more efficient than booking two separate appointments, and a lot of patients find the combination gives them a more complete refresh.

Personally, I’d book the combo if you haven’t done either before. The peel handles texture and tone. The tox handles movement lines. Together they cover more ground than either one does alone.

Also, the Sarasota event sold out. Lakewood Ranch will too. Call sooner rather than later.

Why Choose University Park Dermatology & Medical Spa?

We’re a physician-led practice with two locations across Southwest Florida, Sarasota and Lakewood Ranch, and our team has been doing aesthetic dermatology in this area for years. That matters because injectable work isn’t just about the product. It’s about the hand holding the syringe. A good injector reads your face, understands your goals, and delivers a result that still looks like you. Just a more rested, smoother version.

Our patients tell us they come back because we don’t overdo it. We’d rather you leave looking natural than leave looking “done.” That’s the difference between a medical spa that treats you like a quick sale and a practice that actually wants you as a long-term patient.
