Photo Facial – Lux 1540 Laser

A photo facial is a type of cosmetic treatment that’s used to treat several types of skin issues, including lines, wrinkles, sun damage, redness and age spots. The amount of photo facial treatments you’ll require will depend on the number and type of conditions being treated as well as how your skin responds and the results you want to achieve.

Types of photo facials

The two main types of photo facial available are LED and IPL.
Below is an explanation of the two and how they differ –

  • LED – LED is a more gentle form of photo facial and is effective for treating acne and for creating more plumper younger looking skin. LED photo facials are more likely to be found in day spas and are a good option for those who are looking to improve their skin tone and treat minor imperfections.
  • IPL – In an IPL photo facial, bright surge of light is applied to the face in order to treat a variety of skin issues. An IPL photo facial is more powerful compared to LED and therefore is best if you’re looking to treat a range of skin issues at the same time while also achieving younger and clear looking skin.
